Aero Alerce is a local charter company based in Puerto Montt that specializes in custom flight charters, both over land and water. 

Aero Alerce is owned and operated by pilot Rodrigo Noriega who began his flying career over 23 years ago with renowned conservationists Douglas and Kris Tompkins. With over 11,000 flying hours, most of it in the backcountry of rugged southern Chile from Puerto Montt all the way to Cape Horn, Rodrigo’s flying skills are unmatched in one of the world’s most challenging regions, the extreme wilderness of Patagonia that he calls his backyard.

Our Fleet consists of an Amphibian Cessna TU206 with Wipaire floats, an Aviat Husky for the remote mountains and aerial photography and we recently added a Bell 206 Jet Ranger that seats 4. We have our own maintenance facility and comply with strict AOC (Air Operator Certificate) regulations.

I have spent hundreds of hours with world-renowned photographers, and I have learned to maneuver and position the plane that allows the “artist” to capture and prolifically publish stunning aerial images of the raw beauty of Patagonia.
